On the street: Shanghai snacks » kebab sticks
A stall just downstairs from Hamish & Kate’s sold kebabs – no idea what the Chinese name is, but we didn’t get to find out because they were only there at night and all out every time we passed. But come morning, here’s the evidence of the store’s popularity – a neat and prickly sculpture of used kebab sticks. We had some lamb kebabs at a Yunan restaurant one night and they were to die for.
